Welcome to the National Association of State Human Services Finance Officers

Dear Human Services Financial Professional,

We are writing this letter to invite you to an Advanced Cost Allocation training seminar.

The goal of this session is to provide each participant with detailed information related to the development and preparation of cost allocation plans (CAPs). Understanding the intricacies of program funding, policies, and regulations in the cost allocation process can translate into increased dollars for states / local governments and result in an increase in the quality or quantity of the services provided. This information is also critical to support federal claiming efforts.

This training is designed for individuals with extensive experience with cost allocation plans and federal claiming.

Prerequisites include extensive experience developing plans or preparing parts of cost allocation plans. The course will assume a working knowledge of cost allocation plan requirements and experience developing or preparing plans.

HSFo has tailored the course to meet the needs of financial officers like you, who work in a state or local human services agency.

  • The training is delivered in a group-live format.
  • This training is designed to provide conceptual explanations and practical guidance to the most current and pressing problems in financing these programs.
  • Training topics will be illustrated through the use of case studies from various states, and interactive discussion of lessons learned will be encouraged.

We are fortunate to have secured the services of Public Consulting Group (PCG) to conduct this training.  PCG is a nationally recognized firm with extensive experience in preparing and reviewing cost allocation plans for health and human service agencies. The course outline and registration forms are attached and can be found on our web site at http://www.HSFo.com/training.html We expect this training to fill rapidly, so early registration is recommended. However, we suggest you do not make any travel arrangements until you receive confirmation that you are registered and a slot is available.
